The AANR World Record Skinnydip

Cool down this summer while setting a hot new record at “The AANR Largest Skinny-dip Across North America.” The Guinness World Records^TM Organization has just created a new category for the largest number of people simultaneously skinnydipping and the Skinnydipper Recreation Club of Surrey, in partnership with the Van Tan Club of North Vancouver and the Surrey United Naturists of Surrey(SUN's), is participating under the auspices of the American Association for Nude Recreation (www.AANR.com), the contract association for this record event. Skinnydipping, a wholesome tradition as old as mankind and frequently honoured in art and movies, celebrates the natural joy of plunging into water without the hindrance of clothing.

We are teaming up with the Van Tan Club and the Surrey United Naturists to make this event a part of Crescent Rock Beach day, a day to celebrate the long-time naturist use of this beach between Crescent Beach and White Rock Beach.

In conformance with the established rules of The Guinness World Records^TM Organization, all participants to be counted must be completely nude during the skinnydip. Any first time skinnydippers who wish to participate will be permitted to enter and leave the water wearing a bathing suit but must remove the suit and hold it over their head for the official count at noon. As with all Guinness World RecordsTM events, all record attempts will be witnessed by a designated “member in standing” of the local community.

We will be down on the beach early on the 11th to begin setting up our registration station just south of the Crescent Rock boulder. Look for the distinctive Skinnydipper canopy. Why not plan on making a day of it and spend the afternoon celebrating Crescent Rock Beach day naturally? Later, there is a reguarly scheduled Skinnydipper Nude Swim at Newton Wave Pool from 9:30pm to 11:00pm.
