Why do we say PayPal is Hypocritical? When we first heard about the FCN / PayPal debacle we did some basic online research to find out what you could buy with PayPal. The results were interesting, to say the least. By doing a Google search on the phrase "sex toys" and then doing a search within results for "paypal", we found a list of approximately 539,000 results. Apparently PayPal has no problem with online sites that sell sexual devices and toys, and DVD's, tapes and magazines that show explicitly almost every sex act imaginable. Now, we do not wish to imply that adults don't have the right to purchase these items if they choose and would not demand that PayPal stop doing business with these merchants. The problem is that with this type of material available for purchase with payment through PayPal, they have declared that the simple depiction of families enjoying non-sexual nude recreation to be "pornographic" and "prurient." This is clearly hypocrisy in the most extreme! Skinnydipper Services Inc. and all of its divisions have taken the step of severing all relations with PayPal and we encourage everyone who enjoys nude recreation to do the same. We will not only not use PayPal as a payment processor on our websites but, as individuals, we will choose not to pay for purchases on line using PayPay. |
